At 8 months of storage, both groups of apples looked the same.
At 10 months storage, the 1-MCP apples were noticeably softer and apples with original damage or sunburn spots looked visibly worse to those in the XtendaMaX experimental group.
XtendaMaX experimental group remained in much better fresh condition. Exceeding taste and other qualities of those with 1-MCP treatment.
In addition, the cold room with XtendaMaX had much less mould on the walls.
